A children’s art competition happened. Children of all age groups gathered, donned big white T Shirts and got on with the business of creating art. They sat on low-lying benches against paint splattered tables. Some drew houses, some drew animals and some drew flowers. Some put abstract blotches of paint to paper. There was lots of laughter and some tears. Parents hovered around like so many interested bees, looking at what their children were creating. Peering at the drawings of other children to see how theirs compared. It was a happy day and everyone felt it.
On a lone table was a used palette smeared with vivid colours. It held testament to the day that had passed. This is its picture.
